IT Essentials

Imagine building a computer, then connecting it securely to a network. This exciting first step could lead you to a rewarding career in information technology. Indeed, one sure way to excel – no matter what IT field you choose – is to learn the right computer fundamentals.

IT Essentials is the first course in this learning track. It covers the fundamental computer and professional skills needed for entry-level IT jobs. This course introduces the basics of computer hardware and software to help learners become familiar with computer components by teaching them the proper procedures for installing, upgrading and troubleshooting computers, mobile devices and software.

The training lasts approximately 70 hours, including 58.5 hours of classroom training and 11.5 hours of e-learning. Training hours: 9am – 4:30pm.

This module is held at the LLLC. In order to register for this module, please follow this link: Registration for module 1

CCNA Introduction to Networks

Networked systems are the backbone of modern information systems. They are rapidly evolving and adapting to changing infrastructure, consumer and cybersecurity demands.

As networks expand, companies are constantly looking for people with infrastructure network expertise in the fields of computer science, digital technologies, and infrastructure engineering.

This first CCNA course is designed to introduce anyone with basic IT skills to network design, configuration and maintenance.

The training lasts approximately 70 hours, including 58.5 hours of classroom training and 11.5 hours of e-learning. Training hours: 9am – 4:30pm.

The pedagogical method emphasizes on the know-how as well as on the skills. It aims to develop, thanks to the transversal approach and the alternating system, the knowledge and greater autonomy essential to their professional practice.

This training combines theoretical contributions and practical exercises in the laboratory, as well as in e-learning on the Cisco Networking Academy platform.

CCNA Switching, Routing and Wireless Essentials (SRWE)

CISCO SWRE (Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials) is the second course of the CCNA curriculum which focuses on switching technologies and router operations that support small to medium business networks and covers wireless LAN (WLAN/Wireless Local Area Network) networks and security concepts.

Learners learn key switching and routing concepts. They can perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, identify and mitigate local area network (LAN) security threats, and configure and secure a basic WLAN.

This second CCNA course is designed for anyone with IT skills who wants to focus on the switching technologies and router operations that support small and medium-sized business networks.

The training lasts approximately 70 hours, including 58.5 hours of classroom training and 11.5 hours of e-learning.
