Objective

Have you always wanted to know about programming but did not know where to start? This course is meant to give students the essential tools to start their programming journey. It covers basis topics such as data structures, variables, loops, functions and reading and writing to files. Students will learn to implement those concepts using Python, a popular general-purpose programming language that can be used for a wide range of tasks such as data visualization and data analysis.

Learning outcomes

  • Understand basic concepts of programming.
  • Know how to implement those concepts in Python.
  • Understand Python syntax and semantics.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge of any programming language required.
