Objective

This course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge of basic network security practices, different types of network attacks, and methods for assessing network security and implementing corrective measures. Additionally, the course aims to equip participants with best practices for designing and implementing secure WiFi networks, as well as the necessary skills and tools for assessing WiFi network security. Throughout the course, participants will be introduced to the following concepts and skills:

  • Designing systems and architectures based on security and privacy principles, incorporating cybersecurity by design and default.
  • Select appropriate specifications, procedures, and controls to enhance network security.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and assessing technical and organizational vulnerabilities related to cybersecurity.
  • Testing systems and operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Throughout this course, learners will achieve the following objectives:

  • Acquire a solid understanding of good practices in network security.
  • Comprehend the technical details and characteristics of classic network attacks.
  • Recognize the security challenges involved in designing and implementing TCP/IP protocols.
  • Develop fundamental skills in both attacking (ethical hacking) and defending network security.
  • Implement various security measures such as Firewalls, VPNs, sniffers, and spoofing techniques.
  • Gain insights into the functioning of wireless networks.
  • Learn best practices for configuring and utilizing WiFi networks.
  • Understand the crucial security settings for wireless access points and routers.
