Have you ever wondered how pages are created? Would you like to learn how to create a web page? In this course, you will be learning how to create a static web page from scratch by using the main technologies of the web: HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). HTML provides the structure of the page while CSS is responsible for the (visual) layout for a variety of devices.
The training sessions are very hands-on oriented in dedicated computer rooms. Participants can also bring their own laptop.
Through an active engagement, we will have a look at versatile use-cases of HTML and CSS for creating modern web pages.

Understand the basic structure/skeleton of websites
• Semantic structuring
• Create elementary static web sites with formatting
• Basics of formatting using stylesheets
• Use stylesheets with strict separation between content and formatting
• Colour theory

• Element positioning (floating, absolute, and relative positioning, box model)

Objective
1. Understand the basic principles and concepts of web page creation, including the structure of HTML documents and the role of CSS in styling.
2. Demonstrate the ability to plan and organize a website by outlining its structure and content.
3. Apply the Box Model concept to create layouts for web pages, ensuring proper positioning and spacing of elements.
4. Utilize CSS-Grid to create responsive and flexible page layouts that adapt to different screen sizes.
5. Add various types of elements to web pages, such as text, images, and other multimedia content, using appropriate HTML tags and attributes.
6. Apply CSS styles to enhance the visual appearance of web pages, including modifying fonts, colors, backgrounds, and borders.
7. Implement media queries to make web pages responsive and adaptable to different devices, ensuring optimal user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
These objectives should provide a solid foundation for learners to grasp the core concepts and skills necessary for creating and styling web pages using HTML and CSS.
