This is a 2-days comprehensive course covering the skills, processes, and tools of product management and of the product manager’s role.
The participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of product management in different industries as well as of the role and career track of a product manager. They will learn about real life case studies from tech companies, apply this knowledge in two role plays, experience the process of translating ideas from conceptualization to wireframe development with a guided framework based on design thinking and using tools such as balsamiq.

Day 1:
The fundamentals of product management
From ideation to launch: the product development cycle
The role of Product Manager
Case study and role play: the product manager role
Product strategy and vision
Product management frameworks and methodologies for software development: agile, scrum, kanban
Day 2:
Working with the engineering teams and managing stakeholders
Defining metrics and success criteria
From idea to wireframes: learn how to define the value proposition, identify user personas, write user stories and wireframe the user journey
Objective
The following training methods will be used:
structured presentation of the product management frameworks and practice
case studies based on tech companies in different industries
role plays to practice the product manager role
Guided development of a product, from the idea definition to wireframes, based on tools such as balsamiq. Presentation of the end product to the group and collective feedback
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this class, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the key concepts of product management across various industries
- Describe the role and responsibilities of the product managers
- Understand the tools and frameworks used in the different phases of the product life cycle
- Practice product management techniques in several role plays
- Practice product development techniques by translating an idea from a concept into user stories and wireframes
