Objective
- Hands on workshop using physical tools to show message scrambling techniques of old Greece to modern times.
- Introduction to cryptography: symmetric, assymetic, public keys, hashes, signatures, certificates.
- All beginner friendly: this course does not use any computers, code or mathematics.
Learning Outcomes
- Learn why a good password and a good algorithm are important for securing data.
- Introducing high level concepts of public key infrastructure.
- Understand digital signatures.

The first part of this course is especially aimed at novice users to explain what is happening below the surface of today’s infrastructure.
No computer skills or mathematics needed.
The second part will cover an overview of today’s cryptography algorithms.
