Objective
This course aims to equip IT administrators and IT professionals with the foundation for dealing with IT security incidents.
Educate participants about best practices in handling security incidents, existing standards, frameworks, laws, and regulations.
Share useful open-source tools for security incident management.
This course will introduce the participants to: Collect, analyse and correlate cyber threat information originating from multiple sources; Communicate, present and report to relevant stakeholders; Manage and analyse log files.

- Best practices regarding the detection, assessment, and management of an incident.
- Be aware of legal obligations and implications of certain types of incidents.
- Introduction to crisis management
- How to configure and use a given open-source incident management tool.
